Weston-super-Mare
Probably one of the oldest teams in the league as they were established in 1880, Weston-super-Mare has never quite lived up to its glory years in the early part of the 20th Century whilst competing in the Bristol and West Water Polo League of which Weston was a founder member.
The Seasiders have always been a competitive team and presently fielding a senior men's team, senior women's team and a junior team.
Paulo Radmilovic Weston's most famous player
Coached by the legendary Mike Coles for a number of years now, the club continues to grow and provide national league players for other clubs.
In 2010 Weston were winners of the BWWPL Knockout Competition, winning the prestigious President's Cup for the third time since the start of this competition; and in 2011 finished runners-up behind Bradford on Avon, losing by one goal, 12-11, after Bradford received a 6-goal start in the final held at Bristol University.
Weston train on Thursday nights, 8.30pm-10.00pm and Sunday evenings, 5.30pm-6.00pm for water polo, and also have a swimming session on a Tuesday evening, 8.30pm-9.30pm.
Weston also compete in tournaments around the country and abroad. To see more photos then visit the Weston-super-Mare Water Polo Facebook page.
Weston play out of Hutton Moor Leisure Centre in Weston-super-Mare, but also have summer training and matches at Portishead Open Air Pool during July and August.
